EASY, FAST, FRUGAL (creepy) Halloween Dinner!!!

I L.O.V.E. doing fun holiday themes dinners for my family! And to be honest, I tend to go a bit overboard! In fact, tonight I am going all out (I promise I will share it later). This Halloween I had so many ideas for great creepy Halloween themed meals! But I have to admit as I was researching online there were tons of search results that pointed to making "worms" for dinner-out of Hot dogs. You will not believe how easy and frugal this creepy Halloween dinner is!! After looking at a bunch of online ideas I put mine together like this:

I chose not to serve on buns as my kids don't like that. Here is what I did.

1. Cut up Hot Dogs into strips (I cute each one into 6ths)
2. Boil sliced hot dogs in boiling water for just a couple minutes until they start to curl.
3. Take out of water. (Maybe strain it to make sure there is not excess moisture)
4. In a frying pan melt about a Tablespoon of butter.
5. Add the curling hot dogs and a Tablespoon or 2 of Ketchup (to your own taste and vision-they look creepy with the ketchup)
6. Fry for like a minute or 2.
7. Serve as you wish (I just served a bowl or worms-you could serve worm sandwiches or something if you want!)

Here is Mr Beckee's Deals (Oh he will love that I called him that) trying out the worms:

This was a well loved EASY, QUICK, FRUGAL meal that YOU could totally give your kids tonight before you they go out and get all that sugar!!

Tonight's dinner includes Monster meatloaf, Ghost Mashed Potatoes, and Jello worms. Here is a preview of what they look like:

I found the Jello recipe on Pinterest. It originated from the blog The Idea Room. Go check it out! It is AWESOME!

Love #Walmart's new holiday pricematch-it makes me feel reckless!!

Have you all heard about Walmart's New Holiday PriceMatch Guarantee? It is Sah...weet!! Here is the deal (According to their Press release:
If a customer buys an eligible product at Walmart anytime between Nov. 1 and Dec. 25, and then finds that same product advertised for less at another store, Walmart will give the customer a gift card for the difference through Dec. 25. Guaranteed.

Walmart’s Christmas Price Guarantee is valid on purchases made Nov. 1 through Dec. 25 on identical items (the same brand, size, color, quantity, grade and model number) that are currently available at competitor’s stores located within the same local market as a particular Walmart storei. To apply for the Christmas Price Guarantee, customers need to simply bring in their original Walmart cash register receipt and the local competitor’s current printed ad to Walmart’s Customer Service desk through Dec. 25. Once validated, a gift card for the difference will be issued. Items placed on layaway will also be eligible for the Christmas Price Guarantee.

Did you catch all that?! I can buy my presents at Walmart when it is a good deal. THEN if I see it advertised anywhere later for less, for a GREAT deal, I can bring in the reciept to Walmart and they will go back and give me the pricematched price-I get the difference in Walmart cards (which I will use anyway)! AWESOME!!

I feel like I should recklessly go get all my Christmas stuff now and hope it goes on sale...

Tune in tomorrow to read about how Walmart and the Internet are ruining my cherished tradition... :)

foldflop Review

I love shoes! LOVE them and frankly a lot of them hurt my feet but are too cute to pass up. Because I do not work and I am a stay at home mom, I do not often have the chance to show off my favorite shoes, so I spend MOST of my time in flip flops and tennis shoes (easy and functional). However, when I get the chance, I whip out the high heels and the tight fitting beauties!

I remember in January when I was pregnant, my husband's department had their holiday party (they always do it after the crazy holiday time is over). We had not been out in a long time and it was at a nice restaurant so I decided to really dress up and despite the snow, I wore my cute 5 inch heeled suede boots. LOVE them! Sadly, I sorely underestimated how busy downtown Omaha would be that night and how far I would have to park and walk. It was terrible and before I even hit the party my feet were killing me! What I would have given at that moment for a pair of flip flops!

That story is the reason I was so excited to get the chance to review foldflops!

What is it?

Here is a bit about foldflops directly from their press release:

Foldflops introduce the new concept of compact, mobile comfort to flip-flop footwear offering a patented “unfold and go” hinge technology. Protection and relief unfold in a flash for times when feet need it most and can be neatly stowed away at a moment’s notice!

Waterproof and UV-resistant, foldflops are developed for continued wear, giving them a sporty yet stylish edge. Unlike disposable or flimsy foldable shoes, foldflops are constructed with flexible and ultra cushioning, custom molded, high quality EVA. Foldflops’ high-level comfort features include a porous edged topsole to resist dirt and sweat, a ridged outsole to minimize slip, and a cushioned inset to maximize foot and arch support. They’ve thought of everything!

What did I think?

I have not had the opportunity to test them out "in the field" so to speak, but I am sure these would fit into a medium-big purse. I tested to see if they would fit into my pockets (ignore the fact I am a mess in the photo):

They do fit, but obviously I look a bit silly with them in my pockets. I do like how they look and fit on my feet though:
These could be really nice to throw in a gym bag to change into after a sweaty workout or throw in a purse for a long night on the town (that would have saved me back in January).

***Please note: This review was made possible by Mom Spark Media. I was given the above mentioned product to facilitate this review and as always, thoughts are my own.***

Renuzit Holiday Fresh Accents Review and #GIVEAWAY!! Ends 11/11

Friends, I have 5 smelly kids that live with me...they are messy and dirty because they play hard! They make a lot of smelly laundry and dishes that I am not always caught up on (sad but true admission). So, my house doesn't always smell great. It's just true.

However, I make a huge effort to make my house smell nice and I am glad for all the help I can get. My favorite thing to do to make my house smell great is to bake cookies, but when I do that all the time I find I gain mucho weight!! MUCHO! So, I look to my second favorite way to make it smell nice-air fresheners! LOVE them! But I am super picky about them too! I figure if I am making my house smell like something it better be something I love! Which is one of the reasons my favorite time of year is fall through Christmas. That is the time my mom would always bring out all the fall/winter decorations and there were a few of them that smelled AWESOME!

When I look for air fresheners of any kind, I am always trying to find those smells that brings me back home! I love them. I rarely find just what I am looking for, but I am pleased to tell you that when I picked up my new Renuzit Holiday Fresh Accent scent, I FOUND ONE OF MY SMELLS!!!

I was transported back home with my family! The new Winter Berry is just like a wonderful wreath we had growing up! I love it! It has the perfect wintry berry smell with just a hint of Christmas tree. Though the Festive Snow scent was not a nostalgic one for me, it is equally awesome! It smells fresh and sort of like fresh laundered linens.

You can tell I like the smells, no? But that is not the only sweet thing here-they are cute! You can totally display these and they would look great! In fact the snowflake designs on the holders look awesome with the sun shining through them. I am really enjoying these cute and wonderfully smelling Renuzit Fresh Accents Holiday Air Fresheners.

Tryology-Weight Watchers Smart Ones-application open until 10/20

One question I get asked all the time online and in person is HOW I find so many great products to try and review. There are a lot of places I look for those opportunities, but one of my favorites is a site called EXPOtv. I wanted to share this site with you today because RIGHT NOW they have a fun "tryology" program you can apply for. (Applications will be taken until October 20th only so you will want to join and apply asap!). Tryology is one of the programs EXPOtv has and it is my favorite because it is the one that lets you sample product then make a video review for them to post. (I was intimidated by the video part at first but it is easy peasy. Just spend like 1-3 minutes talking about what you thought of the tryology product and post video on their site-really easy).
If you sign up now, you can apply for their new Weight Watchers Smart Ones Tryology program. Here is a little about it straight from them:

We just teamed up with Weight Watchers Smart Ones, to give our members the chance to try the new Satisfying Selections bagged dinners for FREE! This is an exclusive program where selected EXPO members are invited to sample and review the newest dinner by Smart Ones
.
Want to apply? Here is how:

1- Register for EXPOtv.com.

2- Check out the Smart Ones Tryology program.

3- Apply in your EXPO profile by taking the SmartOnes Screener.

4- Look for an invitation on October 21st to claim your free product if you are chosen!

Remember, applications are only open through October 20th, so sign up and apply today!

Custom Hot Wheels! AWESOME! Check out this review...

Boy was there excitement and jealousy in this house when I was given this opportunity! If you are a friend or regular reader, you probably know I have 3 boys, one is a baby and the older two are 5 and 7. So, the guys have to take turns helping mom review boy products. This specific review was aimed to boys ages 3-5, so it was Army's turn to help me. Boy was E Dawg jealous! We may be making another one of these soon...
With that I am sure you are dying to know what has caused all the excitement at the Beckee's Deals house! This did:

It is a SAH-WEET Custom Hot Wheels truck! Oh yeah!! CUSTOM!! Army got to pick his style of car/truck, choose a picture to put on it and choose a little sentence to put on it. We thought he might pick a picture of himself and put something like "Army's ride" or "Army rules!". He didn't! That sweet little guy went with this:

Could you see the picture and words? The picture is of his baby brother and him and the words say "I love my Family"

By now you are surely asking yourself "How does one make such a prized possession for my little kiddo?" Well, I am happy to report it is pretty easy to do! You just go to Hot Wheels Customs Website and follow the 6 easy steps on the page to make your own Hot Wheels Custom. It will be to your house in a few weeks (So Christmas shopping should be done soon!)

What did mom think?

Super easy to make. The 6 steps on the website are easy to follow and the website was easy to navigate. We did have to get a picture that we could frame in the available space for the truck he chose, but it was easy to fit the picture in. The whole process of making it on their site was easy!

After making it, the time frame to get the truck seemed like it was going to take forever, but it is a CUSTOM item after all. And in the end, it really only took a couple weeks to get here! It is super cute and Army (and all the other kids) love to play with it! It would be a SUPER cute Christmas gift! I am thinking of making ones with the boys pictures on the top and names on the side just so there is no more fighting over which truck belongs to which child! It would be well marked on their own Custom Hot Wheel! Cute idea, right?!

More importantly, What did Army think?

(I am writing what HE says verbatim)
"It was easy to make online with mom's help. When it came to our house I thought it would be cool to play but mom made me wait to open it. (Mom note-just to take pics for the review) When I opened it, it looked like exactly how I remembered I made it just for me! I love my truck and my family and that is my final words!"

My final thoughts:

Go check out the Custom Hot Wheels options here and see all the fun things you can do! I think any little guy would LOVE this little personalized gift!

***Please note that I received the free product above for review as part of a promotional program with Hot Wheels® and MomSelect. I did not receive any further compensation nor was I obligated to give a good review. And, as always, all opinions expressed are my own (and Army's this time).***

Giveaway: Yoplait & Sam's Club ($40 Sam's GC) #MyBlogSpark

Please note that if you are seeing the wrong Rafflecopter form (saying the giveaway has ended), just click on the name of the BLOG POST and the page will refresh and should have the correct form. If you are having problems with that, try clicking here to refresh it and you should see the correct Rafflecopter form to enter.

One of my favorite snacks or breakfasts is cherry yogurt. I love the Yoplait® kind with chunks of cherries. I don't buy yogurt as much as I would like because it is gone so quick in this family of 7. But thank goodness Sam’s Club can help me stock up on my family’s favorite Yoplait® yogurts at great, everyday low prices. I was told that they have an extended yogurt selections, featuring new Yoplait Light® with Granola and Trix yogurt. So I put it to the test and found it to be true! There is quite the variety at Sam's Club which made it easy to find the flavors I love at a price I like!

Yoplait, through MyBlogSpark, sent me $40 in Sam’s Club gift cards to purchase my favorite Yoplait yogurt at Sam’s Club. So I took the kids over and we bought some great Yoplait yogurt. Though my family is a bit boring and stuck with buying regular Yoplait yogurt, Light Yoplait and GoGurts, we did see the 2 new fantastic varieties (as described to me by Yoplait® on MyBlogSpark):
  • The delicious Yoplait Light yogurt that you know and love is now paired with 100% natural granola and real fruit, perfect for a convenient breakfast or snack.
  • While kids love the great taste, you’ll love the wholesome goodness of Trix yogurt, which has two colors in every cup and fruity “kids-only” flavors like Raspberry Rainbow and Strawberry Banana Bash.
I am a huge fan of Yoplait and I LOVE to support them when they do their Pink lids for the Susan G Komen cancer research, which they are doing now. It is a great cause and a great way to donate (just wash off and return your lids to the address on the lid and they will donate).

I bet you would also like the chance to head over to Sam’s Club and pick up some of the great Yoplait yogurts, right? Well, today is someones lucky day because I get to give one Beckee's Deals reader $40 in Gift Cards to Sam’s Club! To enter just fill out the Rafflecopter giveaway below (remember it takes a minute for the form to come up usually):

As mentioned in the Rafflecopter form, the giveaway will end on 10/17 at 12:01 AM EASTERN time. That means you have until 11:01 PM on 10/16 Central time to get in entries. Please note that winner will be picked at random by Rafflecopter after the giveaway ends! The sponsor of the blog will get prize to winner.

***By Way of Discolsure, The Sam’s Club gift card, information, and giveaway have been provided by Sam’s Club and Yoplait® through MyBlogSpark.***
