Purex Baby Detergent Review & #Giveaway

As I have mentioned before, I am a Purex Insider and as such I get to try a lot of their awesome laundry products. Most recently I was sent some Purex Baby Detergent!
What is it?
This product is new for babies and specifically for infants! Here are a few things about it:

What is it?
This product is new for babies and specifically for infants! Here are a few things about it:
- Provides same bright, white clean you expect from Purex, but is sensitive enough for baby skin!
- Baby-inspired freshness (fragrance)
- Hypoallergenic
- Dermatologist-tested formula guarantees to remove stubborn stains without hurting delicate clothing (like footie pjs-yes this is SAFE detergent to use on baby footie pjs)
- Like all Purex detergents this is formulated for use with all washers
- AND because it is Purex, you can get the best for your baby without breaking the bank
What did we think?
We have been testing out our Purex Baby Detergent. I really like it. It works well (like all the Purex detergents I have tried), and my sensitive skinned kiddos seem to do great with it! One thing I both like and dislike is the scent. Is kind of smells similar to a lightly scented baby powder. I like that it makes me think of babies and it smells "like a baby to me." But I also dislike it in that if you use it for everyone clothes, not just baby's, then you smell like a baby all day. My hubby's scrubs smelled like he had been hanging out in the nursery all day instead of in radiology. Which is ok, but was a little odd at work.

All in all I really liked it and highly recommend it-ESPECIALLY if you DO have a baby you are washing all those little outfits for (I remember how shockingly huge the amount of laundry was after my first child was born-this would be perfect for that!!)

#Purex Plus Oxi Review and #Giveaway (Ends 12/8)

As I have mentioned before, I am a Purex Insider and as such I get to try a lot of their awesome laundry products. Most recently I was sent some Purex Plus Oxi to test out.
About Purex Plus Oxi
A few things I was told about Purex Plus Oxi:
Well, my sons gave me the perfect chance to test out this product! To REALLY test it out. My baby boy, E-Pup was eating chocolate one morning right after Halloween, and went to hug his big brother (E Dawg) before school. That was a big problem, and E Dawgs shirt looked like this:
He quickly changed his shirt and ran out to the bus stop, while I went to work on removing the stain from this white shirt. I pretreated it with the Purex Plus Oxi:
And washed it and dried it. After school, E Dawg was so happy to see that his shirt now looked like this again:
Apparently my little E-Pup did not think that was a tough enough test though. He is 20 months and into everything. So, he went ahead and did this to his other brother, Army's bed sheet:
ACK! Well, I tried out the Purex plus Oxi again and this is what that corner of the bed looks like now:
YEAH!!! It worked! On both of the baby's messes! I was very happy with the performance! It really worked out!
Also, I want to make a quick note about the scent of the Purex with Oxi. Most of you know I usually buy dye free, scent free detergent because I have kids and a husband with SUPER sensitive skin! This is a lightly scented detergent so I was a bit nervous about using it. One of my VERY sensitive skinned guys is Army. That is his sheet with marker covering it above. I washed his sheet in the Purex plus Oxi (lightly scented), and he has not had any skin outbreaks or rashes at all. So, at least for my sensitive skinned family, the scent was not an issue!

About Purex Plus Oxi
A few things I was told about Purex Plus Oxi:
- The "most powerful Purex detergent available" It works on over 101 stains!
- There are 3 stain fighting enzymes in Purex Plus Oxi and each enzyme works against different types of stains.
- Works in both high efficiency washers and traditional washers
- As with other Purex products-it is not going to break the bank! It costs half the price of leading brands! :)
- Hypoallergenic formula with light fresh scent.
- Can be used for a pretreater as well. Just pour a little on the fabric, rub stained item together and let sit for 5 minutes before putting in washer.

I told you earlier today how much I love being a Purex Insider. I have had some great opportunities, and this might be my favorite! Purex and Jockey have teamed up!

Well, Did you know that normally you should not use fabric softener on performance sportswear because the oil content prevents the wicking process? Well, you CAN use the Purex Crystals fabric softeners because they do not contain oils!!
What are these products?
The Jockey 2012 Tech Terry Performance Sports Bra is a performance sprotswear for working out. It has moisture wicking to keep you cool and dry (LOVE), a key pocket, reflective logo, breathable mesh panels and a soft bottom band for comfort.
The Purex Crystals fabric softener are a favorite at this house (you can read my first review of it here). We have tried all the different smells and love them all. I am so glad to note that my favorite, the Tropical Splash, is back. These sweet little crystals can be used on baby sleep wear, athletic cloting with wicking and really just about any washable fabric because they contain no oil!
What did I think?
Let me start with the Crystals because my opinion of these continues to be fantastic! I like them more and more the more I use them! And I am not the only fan in the house. My kids LOVE them-even more than I do. In fact, when I was in Chicago a few months ago with my husband, they ran out of crystals and freaked out! My sister who was watching them said she actually went to get new crystals (though she had been avoiding the store entirely with all the kids) because the kids were so concerned that the laundry REALLY NEEDED them! So, I think I can safely say we are fans at the Beckee's Deals house!
I do want to mention that there is a promotion that I love on the Purex site right now where you can "Find the Yellow to Win Green." That means if you go to Purex here and search for the yellow bottle (Tropical Splash) near you, then you can enter to win some moolah!
Now about the bra. First, LOVE that I got a black one! I just like it-personal preference I guess!
Second, you may or may not be aware that I have a 9 month old and I am nursing him. And, I am not a big fan of nursing bras. At this point he is not nursing that often (usually), so I just wear a "normal bra" and pull it up to nurse. This can get tricky with the hard underwire on my bras, but he doesn't nurse that often during the day. Usually...BUT, the child has chicken pox. (Yes chicken pox-you read that right) and he is nursing almost nonstop this week. So, my regular bra started to hurt. Boy, was I glad to have this new Jockey bra! It fits comfortably and the soft bottom makes it so I can nurse my baby without being in pain and without wearing a nursing bra.
Last, I have been trying to work out and lose this baby weight until about a month and a half ago when I sprained my ankle. Well, it is still a bit sore, but I am now going back to the gym. This bra is perfect for those sweaty workouts. It is REALLY comfortable, the wicking really works well, and it is surprisingly supportive (surprisingly only because it is so light and thin that I doubted it's support value-my bad).

Purex Triple Action Detergent (review)

Have I mentioned (a lot) how much I adore being a Purex Insider? Seriously. I am a Purex fan and to get to try out their newest stuff, tell you about it and often give it away to you is just awesome!!! Today will be a big Purex day because I have gotten a few sweet new items to tell you all about! Right now I want to tell you about this product:
This is the Purex new Triple Action formula (which is available across the entire liquid detergent line).
To quote the info I was given, "This new and improved Triple Action formula delivers even better on Purex’s promise to leave your clothes bright, white, and clean, and as always, for half the price of the leading brand!"
FYI, part of the reason I LOVE Purex is because it works so well and is SOOO affordable! I have ALWAYS loved that about Purex! They are committed to watching out for our pocketbooks as well as delivering great products which is why they have been figuring out this newly improved formula that not only is improved in how it works, but still stays affordable! As they say "It’s an even better clean, for half the price of the leading brand. New Purex Triple Action leverages the best parts of our current formula, combined with new additions, to deliver great cleaning plus improved brightening power."
I have had the chance to use the Free and Clear version at my house for the past month or so. It has been fabulous! A few things I noticed. I did not need to use as much detergent as I need to with some other detergents I have tried. We do a lot, A LOT of laundry here with 7 people in this house. When I saw the size of the bottle, I thought it might last a week or two. But like I said, we have been using it for a bit over a month. (It is at the end of the bottle now)
Also, I am not sure I would really notice a difference in brightness, but I have noticed out clothing looks better. I am not a queen if laundry. I do not have the time or patience to spot and fix every detail. Often my kids do not even tell me if their clothing needs extra attention. And I am often so hurried to get the job done, that I forget to check. We have had to get rid of a lot of clothing from just staining. I have found that I have had less of that this past month. Not sure if the kids are making less spills or if it is the detergent or both, but I have noticed less of a problem this month.
We always use the Free and Clear because we have some kids (and a dad) with really sensitive skin. This works beautifully to keep them from breakouts!
I am so happy to tell you that coming up in a few weeks here, Purex will be bringing back one of my favorite things, their “Prove it to yourself” campaign. They think you should have the chance to try this out yourself. No reason to take their word for it, you can take YOUR word for it! When that promotion returns in February, I will make sure to post a reminder with a link to the page for you to request your own sample to test out!
But in the meantime, if you are looking for a great affordable detergent, check out the Purex new Triple Action formula. It is great-you can take my word for it! :)

What is it?
Purex with Zout is a new laundry detergent that combines the fabulous Purex detergent with the triple-enzyme stain-fighting power of Zout stain remover.
Here are a few facts about it:
- Uses THREE stain fighting enzymes that target different stains: Protease fights protein based stains like grass and blood, Amylase fights starchy stains like chocolate and tomato sauce, and Mannanase fights guar which is used as a thickened in many foods like ice cream, BBQ sauce and Salad dressing.
- Can be used in ALL machines including high efficiency.
- Can be used as a normal detergent OR you can pour directly on fabric for 5 minutes on tough stains.
- Comes in 2 varieties: Fresh Morning Burst and Free & Clear
- Priced to please! It costs less than leading detergents at prices ranging from $3.49-$7.99 depending on size.
I was sent a sample of the Free & Clear for my family to use, and we loved it. It was fantastic for our sensitive skinned children and got most of our hardest stains out with minimal effort. What is the deal?

Did you read my rave review of Purex with Zout? If not, you should go check out the poat as it has some AMAZING before and after shots of my daughter's stained pants that I thought were goners!
IN that review I told you that beginning this Sunday 3/13 (TODAY), Purex will have FREE samples available for you to try so you can "Prove it to yourself" that it works! I proved it to myself!!
So, now that the site should be live, go there and request your own free sample to try.

Review: Purex Complete with Zout + upcoming freebie and giveaway

I have told you before that I am lucky enough to be a Purex Insider, and as one I sometimes get to try and share new Purex products (like the AWESOME Crystals I am giving away until SUNDAY 3/13.!
Well, I was SOOO excited when I got a NEW package from Purex Insiders the other day! This time I got to try out the NEW Purex Complete with Zout (Triple Enzyme Stain Remover).
This new product comes in Fresh Morning Burst scent and in Free & Clear fragrance Free. I asked if I could review the Free & Clear (as I have kiddos with extra sensitive skin).
Let me tell you a few things about this product (these are facts from the Purex Insider website):
Well lets be perfectly honest, stained clothing is my nemesis. I can never get stains out and pretty much figure once they are stained, either my husband will have to deal with it or the item of clothing is trash. No joke. I bought my daughter a NEW cute pair of pants about a month ago, and the first day she wore them, she went outside and decided to "sled" down the melting snow in the back yard...needless to say, she ended up SUPER muddy and grass stained. I was so frustrated by the stains, I threw the pants in the bottom of the hamper and have been ignoring them as they sat there for the past month...when I got this new product, I dug them out. The knees and butt were a disaster. I took a picture of the knees (forgot to do the butt before shot, but trust me, it was as gross as the knees if not worse!). Check them out:
After taking the picture, I put a bit of the new Purex Complete with Zout on the knees and butt. I have to admit. I did not have high expectations-these are old, terrible stains. Boy was I surprised at the FANTASTIC outcome!! See for yourself:
