I cannot express how blessed I feel to be asked to review so many great products. This is a particularly fun one because it brought me back to my youth! I remember as a kid waiting through the rest of the year for late September when these favorite cereals would come back for the holiday: Oh boy was it ever a treat when my parents would let us get one! Count Chocula, FrankenBerry, and Boo Berry can often be found this time of year still, but Yummy Mummy, and Frute Brute have been gone for a while. But guess what?! Target is going back in time with exclusive retro packaging, AND they are re-introducing two throwback flavors: Fruity Yummy Mummy and Frute Brute!

What did we think?
Before I answer that, let me tell you what I got to review. 
I was so happy that we were sent 3 flavors of cereal: Boo Berry, Fruity Yummy Mummy and Frute Brute, as well as a $25 gift card to Target so I could go pick up some more cereal!  I had all 5 of my kids, my husband and myself all taste test the cereal. I will say this-all were a hit, though everyone had their own favorite. And apparently our family is not super fond of Orange cream flavored cereal because the Fruity Yummy Mummy was the least favorite (though still liked). I liked Boo Berry best. Most of the kids liked the Frute Brute best, and my husband liked them all. He noted that they are particularly good cereals to put in milk then drink the milk after. I am not a fan of milk with cereal, but if you like to drink milk from the bowl after you eat the cereal, Wes says these are great cereals for that! So, after I took all the pics for the review and was ready to write it, I went to work on a few things, came back in the kitchen and found my youngest sitting at the table having helped himself to more cereal. So, I set up the cereal in a way the camera could catch it and recorded this little video of what he thought:

I love being able to share new products with you! I love to try new products and when I love them, I want to tell all my friends and family all about them! That being said, I have been very absent from the blog for quite some time (have you noticed?) That is because I have been moving across the country! We relocated from Arizona to Washington state. And I am still crazily trying to unpack and organize my new home, but there is a product I really, REALLY want to tell you about! OK, so I mentioned that I was sent some of this awesome cereal to try. I was actually sent all of this:

Fabulous, right? We thought so. We got the package for this review RIGHT as we were leaving for our move. We actually took the first picture of the contents of the package then we put it right in a box (the movers were there when we got it). Well, we boxed up all but the cereal. The cereal we ate-and we loved! Loved so much we have bought many boxes in our travels!

I thought it was like eating a cookie for breakfast, but not so sugary sweet (as far as my taste buds were concerned). I loved the flavors and the textures, and my kids loved it even more. Oh-let me give you a peek into the box:

And guess what?! It tastes even better than it looks! I would absolutely buy this cereal (and have bought it) for myself, my husband and my kids-we ALL give it a double thumbs up! LOVE it!

So, Beckee loves the cereal, tell us why she loves General Mills so much?! 

I was so excited when I noticed that this is a General Mills cereal because recently my sister had a fabulous experience with General Mills and her young autistic son. I loved General Mills before, ut now I adore them and I am brand loyal for life! I asked my sister to write about her experience so I can share it with you. Here's what she had to say:

I recently had an amazing experience with General Mills.  My son with Autism has been saving his money to purchase General Mills boxes with the collectible Mini-Minions from Despicable Me 2.  He was finally able to collect 7 of the 8 mini-minions and was so excited.  He played with them all the time and kept them in a safe place at home when he wasn't playing with them.  Unbeknownst to us, his little brother got a hold of 5 of them and brought them to a very busy local event and promptly lost them!  My son was devastated when he came home to find only 2 of his mini-minions in his room.  He cried for hours.  We went to several stores to see if we could find more cereal boxes with mini-minions, but they were nowhere to be found.  I put a plea on facebook to all my friends asking if they had any of these mini-minions and if they'd be willing to part with them.  I put a comment on the "Lucky Charms" facebook page asking how I could find more of them.  Imagine my surprise when I got a personal message from a member of the Lucky Charms team at General Mills offering to send my son an entire set of all 8 mini-minions for FREE and include some coupons for cereal as well!  After I emailed her back with my mailing address I recieved another email from her saying that the Lucky Charms team at General Meals had discussed our situation and wanted to send us not one, but TWO full sets of mini-minions-1 for each of my boys involved in the situation!  When I told my son that they were going to do that he was thrilled!!  I have not seen an expression of relief and pure joy like that ever before!  Thank you General Mills and Lucky Charms for taking the time to help us out with this!  It may seem like a small thing to most people, but to a child with Autism this is HUGE!!

One of my favorite snacks or breakfasts is cherry yogurt. I love the Yoplait® kind with chunks of cherries. I don't buy yogurt as much as I would like because it is gone so quick in this family of 7. What did we think? To be perfectly honest, I am pretty particular when it comes to diapers and quite loyal to a certain brand. Though I do care about the environment, when I am searching for diapers, I care about other things first. Will it give my child a rash (he has sensitive skin)? Will it leak out? Or is is going to be absorbent enough? Will it fit him well and feel comfortable?

As Everest is only 3 months old I am not sure what he would say about the comfort level, but he seemed pleased wearing it see:

And I thought it did well holding in the explosive poops and the large amount of pee he dispensed into the diaper. For me the facts that it held in the explosion and seemed to be comfortable and did NOT give him a rash were the most important factors for me, and I really liked it.

Well, there are only a few things I like better than a good giveaway, and there are only a few things my husband likes better that a good experiment, so I was super excited when I was asked to do this giveaway/review/experiment!

Before I explain the experiment and the prize pack, let me tell you a bit about Seventh Generation (I am quoting from the information I was sent):

As you can see, my Conventional Laundry detergent is brighter under the black light and thus contains optical brightners.  Seventh Generation does not! As most of you know by now, family time in this house is few and far between with a husband in residency, so it is a precious commodity! It is also a priority, so we do what we can to make sure we have as much family time as we can! I love the idea of "Sweet Family Moments," and it makes me reflect on all the Sunday family moments through my life. We have always been a family that attends church each Sunday since I was little, and that continues in my family now as an adult. It makes Sundays busy, but we always tried to have family time. My dad would often make us a family breakfast before church and now, my husband often does the same for our family Sunday Mornings. I am so excited to tell you all about this fantastic National Parks Project and to be able to offer a giveaway along with it! Thanks to MyBlogSpark and Nature Valley for providing the information and prize package.

Did you know that Yellowstone was the World's first National Park when it opened in 1872? And now there are 392 National Parks in the United States? Can I tell you on a personal level that I LOVE the National Parks. I grew up in Utah where National Parks are a plenty, and they are certainly areas or inspiration and wonder! I cannot wait to take my kids to more and more National Parks!

Of course, these parks require care and support to continue flourishing. But, years of underfunding and environmental problems are threatening our National Park system. Now, I was lucky enough to receive a fantastic package from Nature Valley and MyBlogSpark yesterday that contained a box of Nature Valley Oats ‘n Honey Granola Bars, mini backpack, a compass, a solar-powered key chain flash light, a reusable water bottle, and a copy of Shultz’s book "1,000 Places to see in the USA & Canada Before you Die".

A couple of things about this package. First, I LOVE this book and have hardly put it down since I got it. Great recommendations of places to see-separated by State-I have been reading about all the states we might move to in 2 years!! Second, my 4-year-old is a particularly eater (he claims to only like bread and meat) and will not touch granola-he has this morning eaten half the box of Nature Valley Oats 'n Honey Granola Bars. I had to wrestle the rest of the box away to I could eat them (I LOVE them).
