**My first HOUSE PARTY and Swagbucks shout out!
7:00 PM
Have you noticed the new Favorite Pages box on the Beckees Deals page on Facebook? It currently has 2 favorites: Houseparty.com and Swagbucks.
Swagbucks has enabled me earn point that I can trade in for gift cards. It has been GREAT! You can read more about what it is and how it works here, and you can sign up for it here. Highly recommend it!
Houseparty.com is a site that I am relatively new to. On this site, you apply to host various parties, and if chosen for a party, you get a party pack supplied to you for your party. I am super excited to tell you all that I was just accepted to host my first party, a Sandwich Revolution with the star ingredient being Arnold/ Oroweat Sandwich Thins. I am so excited for this luncheon with great food, fun sandwich ideas to share, and lots of great company! Some of you locals probably already got invitations to the fun and will hopefully be able to make it! I am so excited for it and cannot wait to see what kinds of yummy "Gold Medal" sandwiches we can come up with! (I cannot help but throw in the Olympic tie-ins) You can see my party site (and RSVP) here.
Do any of you use Swagbucks? Have any of you hosted or been to any HouseParty parties? If you have, I would love to hear what you thin about these websites, and if you are not part of these sites, go check them out and let me know what you think!

Beautiful Decorative Art Notebooks on sale from Amazon!
5:55 PM
I am a sucker for a nice new notebook to write in. I make lists like a crazy person, I try to journal, and I just basically love a good fresh new nice notebook. I am also an art junkie-AP Art history was one of my favorite classes of all time! So, imagine my pleasant surprise to see that Amazon has the above pictured notebooks on clearance for $1.50 (there are others as well-those were just my faves)! Wow-LOVE it! I was so excited I wanted to share this deal with you!

**DOUBLE STUF OREO CAKESTERS
12:41 PM
I was given a coupon to try DOUBLE STUF OREO CAKESTERS from Kraft First Taste. I just must tell you that they were heavenly!! I loved them and highly recommend trying them! Seriously good. Although I did get a coupon to try these, I was not compensated for this opinion of them and this is my honset true opinion! So, go try them-your taste buds will thank you (though maybe not so much for your waistline-but everyone deserves a treat once in a while)!!

Local FREE Event: Folklorama on Tour Thursday 2/18
9:13 AM
Hey locals, I am always looking for free and interesting things to do around town, and reading my newspaper yesterday I stumbled upon one such activity! This Thursday, Feb 18 at 4 pm Folklorarama on Tour will have an event at the Holiday Inn Omaha Convention Center (3321 S 72nd St-where Coco Keys is). The group is from Winnepeg and their website says:
For the first time, Folklorama is going on tour to visit six cities and give everyone a taste of what we're all about. We're bringing together six of our top world-class performing groups to present an extravaganza designed to demonstrate why Winnipeg is the place to be in August. And the event is a "show featuring world-class cultural entertainment" You can see their website here. It looks interestign and fun!
Hollywood Video going out of Business so GREAT deals...
9:04 AM
I am never happy to see a company struggle, but sometimes the struggles of a company can benefit a bargain hunter like me, and I never look away from a deal! You may have heard that due to financial problems Hollywood Video is closing down many of their stores nationwide. The stores closing down are basically getting rid of their stock at insanely low prices.
So, if you are local, you can score some great deals. I just drove by yesterday and noted that the Hollywood Video on about 156th and Q is going out of business and so has megadeals. I did not go in as it was a Sunday and I do not shop on Sundays, so I cannot tell you what kinds of deals are going on, but based on the deals Wes found a few weeks ago, I would bet it is pretty crazy low prices in there!
