Wow-I really need to find some great deals to share with you...this is starting to look like an exclusively giveaway blog...You all know I love me a great giveaway, but I truly want to share deals and ways to save money. I DID post the best on Omaha grocery sales for this week yesterday and I have found a few deals. What is it?

I was lucky enough to get 4 cups of Seneca Farms Oatmeal and Fruit to try. I got a 2 pack of Apple Cinnamon and a 2 pack of Vanilla Peach. Let me tell you a few facts about the product (from them):

Just launched in April, it is the perfect choice for anyone who has trouble finding time for breakfast in the morning. What did (the kids and) I think?

Well, I have to admit something terrible...I am a breakfast skipper. It's true. I do not eat breakfast usually, mostly because I am not a morning person and I have no desire to prepare and eat a meal when I first wake up. What that means though is that these 5 precious children I am mother to are lucky to get a bowl of cereal or a breakfast bar on the way out the door...it is a sad truth of my house.

Another sad fact of my house is that my kids WILL NOT eat hot cereals like cream of wheat or OATMEAL...this was a sad realization for me as growing up, our quick easy breakfast was those oatmeal packets.

I hoped these would solve the obvious breakfast problem at our house and I am happy to report, they did!! I tried one of the Peach Vanilla ones last night and it was amazingly great!! Frankly I had a hard time sharing it with my husband when he asked for a bite-I wanted to savor each bite. It was more like a treat flavor than a breakfast flavor (does that make sense?)

This morning I put it to the ultimate test and gave it to the kids. The first fantastic part of these cups is that they truly take less than a minute to microwave (45 seconds). And guess what? I am VERY happy to say that after trying the Seneca farms Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Fruit Cups, my kids will now eat oatmeal.

In fact, my 7-yr-old boy is the one most opposed to oatmeal. He cried and screamed and refused to even try one bite this morning. I finally bribed him into taking one small bite, and he ate it. He ate it, swallowed it, then sheepishly said "I like it...can I eat the rest myself?!" He is actually eating another one as I type. (Now he is raving about it and asking me if I am typing all he is saying-let me just summarize: he REALLY LOVES it!)
